Multibiosol

Final Conference

On Wednesday May 29th, the EU funded project LIFE Multibiosol held its final conference. More than 70 individuals attended the event held at CaixaForum Zaragoza. The event was opened by Isabel Bomba Diaz of MAPA (Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food).

Institutional representatives of CSIC, the Government of Aragon and AITIIP also participated in welcoming the attendees to the event.

The event’s main objective was to present the findings of LIFE Multibiosol. Representatives of the project partners AITIIP, CSIC-EEAD and ARCHA discussed the projects objectives and results. Afterwards they responded to questions from the audience.

The Multibiosol presentations were followed by 4 presentations from other LIFE Projects involved in the bio-based plastics economy. Before they presented, the Spanish National Contact Point for the LIFE Programme shared relevant information about the funding mechanism.

At this point, a coffee break was held. This 30-minute session was a great opportunity for networking.

During the final Round Table session, presentations on the present and future of plastics in agriculture were given by industry partners.

After the sessions closure, attendees gathered for one last networking session accompanied by lunch. During this time, they were able to discuss the various presentations that were given, sharing further details and knowledge. Finally, after the conference, 16 individuals were taken in a mini-bus to take a tour of AITIIP facilities.

On behalf of LIFE Multibiosol we would like to thank everybody that attended the event. We would also like to thank #EUGreenWeek organizers for improving the visibility of this event.
