Networking with LIFE AGROintegra in Zaragoza

Project partners from LIFE Multiobiosol and LIFE AGROintegra had the opportunity to network last Wednesday at the technical seminar held in Zaragoza. In an exclusive networking session, Delia Sola from the Department of Rural Development, Environment and Local Administration of the Government of Navarra presented the LIFE AGROintegra project.

The overall objective of LIFE AGROintegra is to minimize environmental risks in crop protection of cereals, vegetables, fruit trees and vineyard, through the demonstration of the feasibility of more sustainable alternatives for pests, diseases and weeds control, and the support to the implementation of Directive 2009/128/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, establishing a framework for Community action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides by the targeted stakeholders.

A brief, yet results-based presentation by Delia captivated the audience which then took advantage of the coffee breaks to further discuss the two LIFE projects as well as new innovations and current research in the agricultural sector. Both Multibiosol and AGROintegra are working to improve the sustainability of agriculture by applying bio-based products and new strategies to minimize the impact of chemicals and plastics in agriculture.
