Multibiosol

Open field visits and a technical seminar unite professionals around Multibiosol technology in Zaragoza

For the first time since LIFE Multibiosol´s inception in 2015, an open field event was held to showcase the technology in action. On July 5th, at the experimental CSIC Aula Dei (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas) field in Zaragoza, 40 people from around Spain took part in a seminar and two field visits to witness firsthand how the 100% biodegradable agricultural film fared in an environment exposed to the elements. Jesús Val and Diego Redondo of CSIC and Jesús Abadías of Cooperativas Agroalimentarias de Aragon led the guests around the implementation sites, explaining the successes, hiccups and improvements that are being made to the Multibiosol products and responding to eager questions about the films implementation and effectiveness.

Before the field visits, the attendees listened to a diverse group of presenters who introduced the Multibiosol project and related developments in agricultural sustainability.  The theme of the event was “Biodegradable Products and Other Sustainable Agricultural Practices”.
