Multibiosol film and ecological weed control
On October 25-27, Priya Devasirvatham will be representing Transfer Consultancy and sharing the positive results from the LIFE project Multibiosol at the XVI Congreso de la Sociedad Española de Malherbología 2017. The conference will analyze and present a variety of strategies to combat weeds from multiple perspectives. Agricultural films are used for a number of reasons, one of which being effective weed control. The Multibiosol 100% biodegradable agricultural film not only serves as a method of weed control, but also has the added value of transmitting beneficial Oligoelements to the soil while it biodegrades. Using bio-based plastic films instead of conventional petroleum based plastics produces less agricultural waste, and reduces a crops carbon footprint. Tools like the Multibiosol film are helping farmers to move towards more sustainable crop management and weed control.
